What to Expect
Wishing you a warm welcome to the Free Reformed Church of Comet Bay. We look forward to worshipping with you soon!
We welcome anyone to come and attend one of our worship services and meet some of our church members. Our services are held at 9:30am and 3:30pm each Sunday. Upon arrival you will be greeted by our ushering team, and greeting family, who will assist you to find seating and ensure you have everything you need. We currently worship in the Foundations Christian College Multipurpose Hall in Mandurah, WA.
The majority of the members of the Free Reformed Church of Comet Bay are made up of residents of Comet Bay and Mandurah, Western Australia. All people are welcome to attend!
Our services are centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ. We listen to the Law of God in the 10 Commandments, sing Psalms and Hymns, speak to God in prayer, read from the Bible and listen to it explained to us through preaching.
What do I wear?
Anything that is comfortable while at the same time respecting others and showing honour to God. Our members wear anything from neat casual clothing to business and formal attire.
What do I bring?
Nothing! We will provide you with everything you need, including a Bible and Psalm book. You may, of course, bring your own Bible if you prefer.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the service. Our worship services are held every Sunday at 9.30am and 3:30pm.
Where can I park?
The carpark located next to the multipurpose halls is accessible for our services. The entrance is from Waldron Blvd.
What happens in a worship service?
A worship service follows a structured and reverent format. Throughout the service, an ongoing dialogue between the Lord and His people is maintained. This is done through singing, Bible reading, an opportunity for collections, and a central message – a sermon – in which the message of scripture and its practical applications are explained. Every Sunday morning, the law of God is read to remind us of our sinfulness and the need for the saving work of Jesus Christ.
Will there be a monetary collection during the service?
A collection bag will be passed through the congregation during the worship services. Attendees are welcome to put money into the bag. This collection is one way we worship God in thankfulness. Money is collected to support needy members of the congregation, mission and other gospel centered organisations/needs.
How long is a typical service?
Our services usually last just over an hour.
What if I have questions about the service?
After each service, members gather outside to socialise. If you haven’t already been approached by a member, our ushers will come find you and happily answer any questions you may have.
Where can I take my children?
We do provide crèche facilities for young children if you require.
Wheelchair access?
Yes. There are also disabled parking bays close to the entrance of the building.
